Unfortunately this was not a good recipe so I deleted it from my Recipe Keeper app. I love this site for some good recipes but this was not one of them.

I have this in the oven right now and it smells AMAZING!!! I halved the recipe since I wanted to make a smaller portion to start with.
**Can anyone tell me if it must be covered in the oven while it cooks?**
I'm figuring yes, so I've got it covered, but wanted to double check. Since I'm doing half the recipe I'm going to check it in 2 hours (but figuring I'll want to go 3).

Because the ribs are submerged while cooking, you don't have to cover them, but of course can if you prefer. How did they come out for you? I usually cut recipes in half, too, because I'm usually just cooking for my husband and I. Amanda Lohiser

They turned out AMAZING! I covered them, and ended up using the full cooking time. I did have to add a little bit more wine and beef stock to create enough liquid to cover them. I eyeballed it, and it turned out fine. I reduced the sauce and added some cornstarch to thicken it. My mom and I really enjoyed it! Thanks for the reply! ✨

So glad you and your mom enjoyed the short ribs! Great photo. They look delicious (so do the carrots and potatoes!). Amanda Lohiser

Thank you! The carrots are one of my other new favorite recipes! They're super easy and so tasty. Just peel, brush with melted butter mixed with honey, sprinkle with salt, and roast in a 400° oven for 25-30 mins, turning halfway through!

That sounds amazing. Thank you for sharing that yummy carrot recipe, Amanda Lohiser !
