Ingredients
- 25 gyoza wrappers or potsticker wrappers
- cabbage leaves, for steaming
Filling
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Napa cabbage
- 1/8 cup minced cilantro
- 1/8 cup minced chives
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
Here’s how to make it:
- Combine all of the filling ingredients. Season well with salt and pepper.
- Put about 1 tablespoon of the filling onto the center of each wrapper. Use water to moisten the edges and fold up, twist and seal.
- Put cabbage leaves on the bottom of a steamer basket. Put a single layer of dumplings into the steamer, leaving at least 1 inch in between each dumpling. Steam, covered, about 8 minutes or until filling is cooked through. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
