The simple waffle batter is made with all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, milk, eggs, oil and vanilla. Stir the ingredients until just combined and then pour into your preheated waffle iron.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour (all-purpose or gluten-free)
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 - 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 2/3 cups milk
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Here’s how to make it:
- Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix well. (If you are a cinnamon lover, add a few shakes of ground cinnamon into the batter.)
- Combine all the wet ingredients in another bowl. Mix well.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
- Cook according to your waffle maker’s directions. Serve the waffles with maple syrup, honey, pancake syrup or even topped with whipped cream. Store any leftover waffles in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the toaster.
