Winter Clothes: How to Stretch Your Winter Wardrobe By Layering Looks Fashion

It’s the dead of winter and my daughters have been asking to go shopping to add to their winter wardrobe. But the reality is, we all have a variety of looks in our closets that we haven’t even discovered yet. So we saved money by winterizing several of their summer looks, just by experimenting.

  • That strappy sundress took on a whole new look when paired with a cardigan and boots.
  • That bright jewel-neck T was adorable over a fitted turtleneck.
  • Leggings even transformed a pair of shorts into something workable and fun.

Enjoy experimenting in your own closets!

I call this "shopping in my closet" and still do it for myself. Fun to see what you can create from your existing wardrobe. Take the challenge! I often put cardigans over summer tops and wear summery, peasant-style skirts with boots. A girl at work wears jackets over sundresses. The only summer pieces that can’t cross seasons are capris!
