Teens, Dirty Faces & Acne: These Skin-Care Products May Help Wash the Grime Away by Belinda Lichty Clarke

It seems the more I nag my 14-year-old son to jump in the shower after a sweaty baseball game, the less likely he is to do it. Despite the fact that he knows the sweat and grime on his face are a quick ticket to a face full of pimples.
In honor of Acne Awareness Month, and to see if I can entice the kids to wash their faces properly for a change, I'm experimenting with two new face wash/scrub products, both from Biore. The charcoal and baking soda acne washes contain salicylic acid, which seems to me to be more gentle than benzoyl peroxide.
The charcoal line draws out oil and sweat from clogged pores and leaves your skin tingly and fresh. The baking soda line is ideal for combination skin and provides a deep clean removing dirt and oil without over-stripping. I have adopted the baking soda foam cleanser as my daily summer cleanser.
Best of all, they are dirt cheap (get it?).
