Organic & Vegan Skin Care: Say Yes to Small-Batch Startups! Here Are 2 Companies to Try! by Belinda Lichty Clarke
Naturally derived, organic and vegan skin care is skyrocketing in popularity, and it's a total win-win. We get to benefit from affordable, homemade products we feel good about putting on our skin, and these small startups get a boost. Here are two totally great little companies you'll want to check out:
Naiad Soap Arts: This San Diego company makes custom-blended fragrances plus bar soaps, sugar scrubs and body creams in nostalgic scents. The company also works to contribute to water conservation charities in addition to donating to shower programs and women shelters in the Southern California area. Favorites: Beach House Roll-on Perfume and the Whipped Soap Sugar Scrub.
Little Egg Harbor Soap Company (leh): Based in Marmora, N.J., and founded in 1997, leh is famous for hand-made natural soaps but has expanded to include natural lotions, body butters, sugar scrubs, bath salts, body balms and bath bombs. Favorites: Weekend in Rehoboth Body Butter (awesome beach town in Delaware!) and Jersey Girl Beach Spray.
