Jacqueline’s passion for the beauty industry started early at the age of 12 when she would watch her mother dress up and expertly apply make-up and witnessed firsthand how beautiful and confident her mother was as she proudly transformed herself. Later in her teens, Jacqueline loved reading beauty and lifestyle magazines like Vogue and Ebony which further piqued her interest and pursued a career in the beauty and skincare industry.
As Jacqueline’s education and expertise in skincare beauty continued to flourish, she learned more in-depth about the industry by working alongside board-certified dermatologists as well as plastic surgeons. She was then inspired to become an entrepreneur by opening her own skin care practice in 2002 called Skin Solutions & The Wax Bar in Homewood, IL.
Teaching became another successful outlet for Jacqueline to share her knowledge and passion with others. Jacqueline is also a licensed aesthetics professor in Chicago at the renowned Aveda Institute. She continues to make learning and growing a top priority — from staying up-to-date on the latest trends and continued education on skincare, to teaching classes at top esthetic trade shows as well as educating consumers at leading women’s expos and pop-up outlets . Jacqueline’s extensive travels include offering one-on-one consultations and educating future skin experts.
As a skincare entrepreneur, Jacqueline created GorJus Whips which was carefully crafted from her need to find a luxurious all-natural product that would nourish and feed the skin and hair; a product with no restrictions such as skin type, ethnicity, or gender since everyone deserves great skin care.
