Teen dating violence is about control. To recognize Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, here are some warning signs that you can look out for! 

• Checking a partner's mobile phone and e-mail messages without permission. 
• Being asked to share your e-mail or Facebook password. 
• Expecting someone to constantly report their whereabouts through text or phone. 

These actions all cross the normal boundaries of personal privacy. Talk to your teen about setting appropriate boundaries for themselves, and respecting the boundaries of others. This will help them establish healthier dating relationships.
