Are You Bossing Up & Owning Your Reactions? Here's Why How We Respond Is Everything Entrepreneurs Career
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve coached people who are the “woe is me” type. You know, the people who think that anything that ever happened to them was because the world was out to get them.
My thing is, the way you respond is everything. Your response dictates if you’re moving forward, backward or going nowhere. Either you’ll grow and expand (which I call fail spectacularly) or you’ll stay stuck (just plain fail).
Blaming your circumstances will simply do you no good. Instead, you’ll have to boss up and put on your big girl pants and look inside yourself. Ask yourself some tough questions like:
- "What am I holding on to?"
- "What can I let go of?"
Don’t give away your power by remaining angry or resentful of whatever it is that happened. The only one harmed in holding resentment is yourself. Stuff will happen that is beyond your control. It happens to all of us. The only thing you can control is how you respond, which I call response-ability.
