TSA Pre-Check is a program for pre-screened passengers to go through a faster, separate security line at participating airports. Faster because you don't have to remove your shoes, belt, light coat or take out your laptop or 3-1-1 liquids.
Apply at TSA.gov then visit an enrollment center for an interview and provide ID and fingerprints. It costs $85 for five years, and nine major airlines are participating. Upon arrival, after checking in to fly, your boarding pass will have a pre-check notification.
