I love having orchids around my house and office because of their elegant, exotic, long-lasting beauty. While orchids are said to have health benefits – such as promoting virility and warding off illness – what I notice most is they bring joy. When someone notices an orchid, they stop and smile.
Perhaps it’s their fragile appearance yet hardy inner strength. They require little care; depending on the variety, some sunlight and a small amount of water. While they may seem expensive, the fact that they outlast fresh-cut flowers by weeks (even months) makes them a bargain – and a beautiful gift!
