I'm a mom of an author and I couldn't be more proud. My son, Shea, wrote the book "Teens Happen" because he witnessed too many parent/teen relationship problems. It really bothered him when his friends couldn't talk with their parents, or didn't have a strong bond.
The main tip in his book: Build your relationship on mutual respect. That's a key point in the teen years. As your teens are building their identities, they need your support, guidance and respect. Nourish communication and strengthen your bonds together. Learn together and have a (relatively) stress-free teen time.
