If you're anything like me, you likely enjoy having car concerts. What is a car concert, you may wonder? Imagine driving down a road, alone in your car, singing along to one of your favorite songs.
Today, I found myself driving two hours alone in the car for work. The radio reception wasn't too great where I was, and I found myself growing quickly tired of my usual presets. So, I switched my Bluetooth on and let my music go on random.
Growing up, I always enjoyed the popular songs of course. But I also had a deep appreciation for lyrics. Sure, I loved NSYNC and Destiny's Child, but I also found myself mesmerized by Tori Amos and Sarah McLachlan. I remember printing out lyrics and hanging them in my locker to a song I much relate to more now than I could comprehend in 2000.
As I still struggle to move on from a past "situationship," I found myself relating to a song today that seems rather fitting. It isn't Tori, Sarah or even Alanis. I wondered if the singer or songwriter was thinking of one particular person when they wrote it. Does it change with each subsequent breakup? Or will it always make them think of one particular person?
