Family vacations don’t have to be generic trips that lead to the same old, same old places. This year, design your own vacation. Start by calling a family meeting and brainstorming about the things you enjoy. Whether it’s sports or music or architecture, you can build a vacation around your interest. 

• Sports: Take a stadium tour, enjoy a few games or visit the hall of fame. 
• Music: There’s a hall of fame for that, too. Then you can plan to see a show or catch a live band. 
• Architecture: Check into art museums and famous homes, like Falling Water in Pennsylvania (pictured).
