Be an Earth advocate. This Earth Day, find out how much your child's school recycles. Recycling is very important, as waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. 

• Most classrooms have paper recycling, but what about the cafeteria? Plastic water bottles, plastic yogurt containers and many of the components of your child's lunch can, and should, be recycled. 
• In the school's kitchen, aluminum fruit and vegetable cans and other large storage and delivery containers are also recyclable. 

If your child's school does not recycle, reach out the them or the district to start this important community conversation.
