Pool Noodles Make Adorable DIY Sailboats for Kids (and So Simple to Make!) by Katie Lewis

Folding paper boats is fun, but why not take it up a notch? Making pool noodle sailboats is a fun and economical activity to do with your kids.

You'll need:

• pool noodle
• scissors
• BBQ skewer as mast
• craft foam
• decorative tape

Here's how to make it: 

1. Use a serrated knife to cut a 10- to 14-inch length of pool noodle. Slice it in half lengthwise to create the hull of your ship. 
2. Cut two triangles from craft foam to create sails. Thread the foam sails onto a barbecue-skewer mast and stick into noodle with cut side down. 
3. Decorate as desired. 

Try adding a number cut from red craft foam and making a flag out of decorative tape. So cute!
