Need a Break This Summer, Mom? Implement "Summer Sanity Hour!" You're Gonna Love This Idea! by Dr. Christina Hibbert

One of the hardest things about summer for me is having kids around constantly needing attention, activities and entertainment. So, in our home, I've implemented a "summer sanity hour" (or two, or 30 minutes...).

For one hour, the kids have to engage in a quiet activity - either together or on their own - while I go in my room and enjoy a break or a nap or read. It's not only good for me, but also allows them to spend time together, catch up on work, read quietly and help Mom feel sane (which is good for everyone)!
