National Read Across America Day: 4 Fun Ideas to Encourage Your Kids to Read

March 2 is National Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss's birthday! Take some time to encourage the love of reading with your family in the following ways!

  • Pop up a tent in your living room for a family read-in.
  • Grab your favorite Dr. Seuss books and read them together.
  • Have a relative read a book aloud to your kids via Skype or FaceTime.
  • Take a trip to your local library and find some new family favorites.

By encouraging reading at home and reading together, you will naturally foster the importance of books and reading. What a wonderful gift to give your children!
