Kids Keep Interrupting You? Here's the Perfect Solution! by Dr. Christina Hibbert

You know how when you're talking with a friend, and your kids come up and pull on your shirt and say, 'Mom! Mom! Mom!" until it drives you crazy?! Well, we have a perfect solution for this problem in our house.

I've taught my kids that when I'm talking with someone and they need me, they should come up and put their hand on my arm. As soon as I notice they're there, I place my hand on theirs. This assures them I will get to them soon. I then finish my conversation, and when I'm ready, I can turn and ask, "OK, what do you need?" giving them my full attention.

Trust me: It works wonders!
