If your child is interested in playing baseball, the best age for him or her to start playing is 5. That's the age when he or she can join a T-ball team, which provides a great introduction to the sport. 

At age 5, a child’s hand/eye coordination and ability to concentrate really start to develop, and that plays a huge role in keeping kids safe on the field. How many times have you been to a game and a child is more interested in the grass than the ball in play? That can be a dangerous combination. 

Starting with T-ball allows kids to develop skills while having fun!
