Mardi Gras Crafts for Kids: How to Make a Mardi Gras Shoebox Float by Donna John
Mardi Gras may have been canceled this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn't mean you can't celebrate it. With just a shoebox or other cardboard box, kids can make their own DIY Mardi Gras float craft project.
- pipe cleaners
- gift wrap bows
- construction paper
- Mardi Gras embellishments
- king cake plastic babies
- Mardi Gras coins
Here's how to make it:
- Cut construction paper or fabric to cover the box. Let your child get creative, but typical Mardi Gras colors are purple, green and gold.
- Glue on the construction paper or fabric. Allow to dry.
- Using desired embellishments, let your kids go wild and create a float that's as unique as they are.
