Ellie Skalla won the Chicago Toy and Game Fair's (ChiTAG) Young Inventor's Challenge last year (Most Marketable Concept) with her game, GalactiQuest. We got the chance to chat with Ellie and Aly Lloyd from Goliath Games about the fun new game!

How and why did Ellie come up with the game? "I wanted to come up with a game because my brother had entered the challenge the year before me ... I wanted to come up with a game that kind of had spaces that were spread out. It wasn't just a board with a track on it and you have to follow the path ... I thought that planets were spread out, so I came up with the idea to conquer as many planets as you can and take over the galaxy."

Because Ellie won the Young Inventor's Challenge, Goliath Games picked up the game and turned it into a real game. Exciting! GalactiQuest will be available in January 2019 and will be sold exclusively at Target.
