Play & Grow's "Go Play!" Activity Cards: A Fun Way to Keep Babysitters Off Their Phones While on Duty!

Lately, my husband and I have noticed our babysitters playing more on their phones than with our kids. Have you experienced this as well? Here’s one solution to help your sitter understand the importance of play and give them the tools they need to accomplish a wonderful playtime experience while on duty: Go Play Activity Cards by PlayAndGrow.com (and fellow 30Seconds® contributor Teacher Karen). The cards earned the 30Second Mom "Loves This" Award!

These cards offer handy, easy-to-use lesson plans. Cards are packaged in an adorable, travel-size linen pouch, perfect for tossing into a purse or backpack. Each card has a QR code that accesses dozens of kid-friendly songs, finger plays, nursery rhymes and hands-on learning activities. It’s easy! Just choose any of the eight cards included in the set, scan the QR code and unlock the fun.

Our “Springtime”  Play & Grow activity cards teach concepts including wind, rain, flowers, insects, gardening and rainbows. Babysitters can spend the day teaching one concept in a variety of ways, or have children pick several cards to explore. Now, instead of getting frustrated with sitters on the phone, we use Go Play Activity Cards to help caregivers use their phone to engage in playful opportunities.

I'd like to know....did you notice that both boys and girls are doing a variety of activities in the images on the Cards? It was important to me to show real kiddos doing real things--both boys & girls! Would that be important to you?

I like that the actives were all gender neutral.
