Leftover Easter Candy Cookies: How to Get Rid of All That Holiday Candy! by Christine Jones

Holidays Cookies

If your house is anything like mine, it's already overflowing with Easter candy. So what are you going to do with it besides just eat it (and then regret it later)? Have your kids make a batch of Everything-But-the-Kitchen-Sink Cookies!

  • Make your favorite cookie dough recipe. My favorite is Ina Garten's Chocolate Chunk Cookies. I make the batter according to directions, but I leave out the chocolate chunks and nuts.
  • Give each of your kids a small bowl of cookie dough and let them add in their favorite Easter candy. You can use anything. Our favorites are M&Ms, holiday sprinkles and then Reese's and York Peppermint Patties and Snickers, which we chop up before adding to the dough.

Now you'll get it out of your house in one batch of cookies! BAM!

Fantastic idea (though I would probably eat all the cookies, too, LOL)! Christine Jones

I have a lot of M&M's leftover, this is a great idea!
