Attention Parents & Teachers: High Achievement Is Built By Working Together!

Achievement begins with an understanding of a shared responsibility between home and school. Parents are their children’s first “teachers.” Fostering a mutual respect between school systems and parent communities builds the foundation for future student success. With this goal in mind, consider these points:

  • The role of parents in the education must be redefined
  • Establish the belief that ALL students can be high achievers
  • All forms of instructional practice are “resources,” including individualized instruction
  • The provision of a “continuum of services” supports students with special needs, students within general education and students with advanced abilities

By planning for achievement through collaboration, student success can be built from home/school partnerships.
