Kids Have School Winter Burnout? Try This Easy Organizing Tip

The holidays are over! With a collective sigh of relief, we parents look to the next few months with a groan – it can be a long slog until spring break. One tip for getting through the winter: Clean up the school supplies!

  • With your child, empty and wash the backpack and desk.
  • Many children struggle with the decisions around what to throw away, so use guiding questions like, “Will you need this information again this year?”
  • Long-term storage (e.g. accordion folders) should be home-based where kids can find achieved work when they need it.
