After spending two decades working in the criminal justice system in New York City, Laverne Wilson-Valis pivoted her career to pursue a newfound passion. She founded Elder Friends Concierge Services ™️ in 2021 in response to the need she had seen for in-home support for aging individuals. At Elder Friends, Laverne has worked hard to build a competent team, pursuing extensive training and certifications to ensure each staff member provides respectful, empathetic, and personalized care. As the CEO, Laverne manages many of the behind-the-scenes aspects of the business, including marketing and operations. While Elder Friends works hard to enable seniors to live in their own homes for as long as possible, if their needs become too complex, Laverne also provides consulting services to assist families in finding an assisted care facility that meets their needs.
