When I saw a teen riding with his leg out the window, I knew it was time for a reminder about car safety. We know not to let kids put their feet on the dashboard (see tip below), but it may be time to sit down and remind teens that sitting properly in a car could save their lives (or limbs).
An airbag can go off in as little as a 25 mph crash, and does not take into account where a child’s legs are at the time. Tell your teens to look cool some other place, and keep their feet on the floor in the car!
