Does Your Kid Use Instagram? Here’s a Safety Tip You Need to Read! Safety

Instagram photo-sharing app is all the rage, and tweens and teens are active users. Something happened that caused me to think. My niece, 13, uses her real name on her account. She posted a picture of herself, saying, "home alone ... call or text me," with her home and cell numbers, using popular hashtags. She was innocently playing with friends after school, yet because her account is not private, she'd given her numbers and, therefore, traceable address to millions.

Make kids aware of this and remind them of online safety precautions. We want our kids to have fun, but not to be in harm's way!
