Wash Your Hands Song for Kids: Help Kids Practice Proper Handwashing With This Fun Song Kids' Health Family Health

Whether you're worried about the coronavirus outbreak or just the common cold, proper handwashing is one of the best defenders against illness. That means lathering up for at least 20 seconds before rinsing!

I find that when I tell my kids to wash their hands, more often than not, they do a quick rinse under the sink and barely soap up at all. So, in an attempt to get them to practice better handwashing I have come up with a little tune to the melody of "If You're Happy and You Know it." I hope this will encourage my kids to take more time at the sink and I hope it works for you too.

If you are just about to eat
Wash your hands.
If you just came in from the street
Wash your hands.
If today you went out to play
And you touched things along the way
Repeat after me when I say,
Wash your hands!
Wash your hands!
Wash your hands!
