You are an amazing lady, Terri Jones . So many of us are thrust into the role of caregiver with little or no preparation. The sandwich generation and its challenges are real, too. Sounds like you did an incredible job. So appreciate these tips!

I admire those who can put aside their busy lives to care for a loved one, even if it’s for a while. Years ago I became a Certified Nursing Assistant so I could be close to my grandma who was in a nursing home. Her and I were always very close so it killed me to see her in that place all by herself. She was used to family being around and I was young without a wife or kids so it made sense for me to do that. I didn’t think of it as a sacrifice; but learning a new skill that I used for a long time until another opportunity came around.
