Mindfulness Resolutions for Life: How to Take Control of Your Health, Time & Finances Mindfulness Weight Loss

Let’s talk about getting real with what we do with our valuable time, what we put in our mouths and what we are keeping in our bank accounts. Here are some of my thoughts:

  • If you want to lose some weight or just be a healthier version of you, start off by surrounding yourself with like-minded people. Be more mindful when you eat – less quantity and more quality. Have you ever tried eating with chopsticks or using your non-dominant hand? How about actually chewing your food before you swallow it? See if you can count to 50, 75 or even 100 while you chew.
  • When it comes to the subject of money, it can be very similar to food – having self-control, a plan and being mindful with it. You might need a financial adviser. They are kind of like a health coach for your money. First, be real and write down all your expenses. Everything! That will point you in the right direction.
  • Use your time wisely when you’re with someone. Respect other peoples’ time – don’t be late. Put your phone down and make eye contact. And if you are spending time by yourself, observe your surroundings with all your senses.

I hope this inspires you to be more mindful this year!

Love the chopsticks idea! My son gave me a set of beautiful wooden chopsticks for Christmas last year. Going to get them out and use them. Great tip! June Stoddard-Finemore

Fantastic tips, June Stoddard-Finemore . Always looking for ways to be more mindful. My word for the year is "less," as in "less is more," and these tips go along with that theme. Thank you!
