Quarterback Tom Brady & a Speech-Language Pathologist Have Something in Common: Can You Guess What It Is? Nutrition

Super Bowl® champion quarterback Tom Brady and I, a speech-language pathologist, have something surprisingly in common. No, I'm not tackled by 300-pound defensive linemen, nor is Brady seated in preschool-sized chairs leaning over 3- to 5-year-old children helping them to talk (although I'd like to see him try). Our commonality? We actually have the same diet.

Brady’s NFL training and diet was triggering painful joints, reduced flexibility and internal inflammation. In addition to my own occupational hazards, my years of martial arts, triathlon and marathon training caused havoc on my body creating terrible aches and pains that massage and chiropractic care could not touch.

Now, like Brady, I no longer eat dairy, white sugar or white flour – and my aches and pains vanished. It’s true! Just ask Tom Brady!
