Such a great tip. I rarely drink any juice. It's mostly water and iced tea for me. You don't realize how many calories and sugars are in even fresh squeezed.

As a registered dietitian working with the Juice Products Association, I would like to correct some misinformation around fruit juice. First, it is important to note that 100% juice contains no added sugar – just the natural sugar found in the whole fruit it’s squeezed from. Additionally, 100% juice and whole fruit are nutritionally similar, offering the same important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, magnesium, and potassium. This is why the US Dietary Guidelines recognize 100% juice as nutritionally equivalent to whole fruit. Finally, studies linking fruit juice to tooth decay are inconclusive. In fact, researchers at the University of Maryland’s School of Dentistry found no association between intake of 100 percent fruit juice and early childhood caries in US preschool children. A variety of factors can contribute to dental health, and proper hygiene is essential to maintaining healthy teeth. For more information, please visit .
