You don’t have to spend a fortune on beauty products or salons to treat dry or damaged hair. Instead, you can use something you may already have at home: extra virgin olive oil.
- Pour 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil (use 1/4 cup if you have short hair) into a microwave-safe bowl and heat for 20 seconds.
- Get a towel to drape over your shoulders and massage the olive oil into your hair, starting at your scalp.
- Use a shower cap or plastic wrap to cover your hair. Keep your hair wrapped for 30 minutes.
- Remove the shower cap to shampoo, condition and rinse your hair.
