The Real Battlefield of the Mind: What You Are Is What You Think About

Last winter my husband and I hosted a bible study at our home. Our study was on the book "Battlefield of the Mind" by Joyce Meyers. If you do not know who Joyce Meyers is, go to her website and find out. She is such a great teacher and I have been following her for over seven years.

So here we are going through “Battlefield of the Mind,” and as I sat there and listened to the chapters, the thing that kept coming up for me was, “Gosh, do I think really poorly of myself and other things regarding my life?” See, in this book, she takes you through a process where you can renew your mind. I mean, we are instructed to renew our minds daily (Romans 12:2).

I heard this verse many many times, but during this study it hit me! I grew up thinking so negative. I didn't have the tools to stop that thought in its tracks so I could replace it with his promises and with positivity. Sometimes the things inside our minds is the very thing that is keeping us from really living in freedom.

What really is going on in your mind? Is it a battlefield and, if so, what tools are you using to be victorious?
