#SorryNotSorry: How & Why to Push Mom Guilt to the Curb & Practice Self-Care!

One huge thing I have learned through my journey is that self-care should be our No. 1 priority in order to be a good mom, wife or just human being. If we let ourselves run on nothing but one of those cute “gotta-get-myself-one-of-those” T-shirts, then how on earth are we going to be the kind of person we really want to be? How can we live in the moment if we are dreading each moment until it's time for bed?

#SorryNotSorry

I want to enjoy my husband, kids and most of all MY LIFE! We only have one life! Why are we using phrases like, "it's only for this season" and "messy home equals happy kids?" Take the time you need!

Eat the Paleo chocolate! Take a detox bath! Use a mud mask! Read a book! Make sure you take some time so you don't lose who you are completely – because that doesn't benefit anyone! Your spouse loves who you are, obviously, that is why you are married (hopefully). The worst thing you can do is be "selfless” for your kids and husband and become resentful toward them all! Trust me, you will not regret it and you will see yourself, husband and kids begin to thrive!

You said it, Sarah Darrow ! Moms feel guilty about everything. Thank you for giving us permission to take a timeout for ourselves. Gotta stay healthy so we can care for everyone else! So glad you joined our tribe. Looking forward to more from you! :-)

So agree Sarah Darrow! I just finished taking a time out and crushed a ride on my Peloton guilt free of course. Welcome to #30Seconds tribe!

Yes! I am so glad I'm finally on board with this... it took far too long to be more assertive and less guilty about it and I'm still a work in progress of course, but it makes a HUGE HUGE difference in so many ways!
