A Better Mood May Begin With Your Childhood Memories

The sound of a felt marker scratching across a high-quality sheet of fresh white paper is like magic to me. When I was a kid, I came directly home from school and did at least one drawing every single day. Without exception. In the stress of adult life, bad moods seem to pop up more easily and linger longer. My suggestion is to dig deep into your childhood memories for an activity that made you truly joyful, then incorporate that activity into your life for 10 minutes a day. Some examples might be:

  • drawing
  • coloring
  • exploring outside
  • learning knock-knock jokes
  • watching cartoons
  • making crafts
  • singing
  • playing a simple instrument like a harmonica or recorder
