How to Beat an Anxiety or Panic Attack With a Straw! (No Joke!)

When we have a panic attack, our breathing becomes shallow and erratic. This leads to:

  • difficulty thinking clearly
  • chest pain
  • sometimes a sensation of suffocating

A simple drinking straw is a great way to beat a panic attack! Simply breathe through the straw when you feel panic, and it will automatically slow your breathes enough to calm your heart rate, ease tension and deliver fresh oxygen back to your brain.
