Ingredients

• 4 tablespoons butter
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1/4 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free flour)
• 2 cups chicken broth or turkey broth 
• 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Here's how to make it:

1. Melt the butter in a saucepot over medium heat. Add the garlic and thyme. Cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. 
2. Whisk in the flour. Cook, stirring, for about 3 to 4 minutes. 
3. Slowly start pouring in the broth, whisking constantly, until smooth. 
4. Add the poultry seasoning, and season with salt and black pepper, to taste. Bring to a simmer, reduce the heat and cook until gravy thickens to your desired consistency. Serve. Store the gravy in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
