Leftover Fresh Herbs: Don't Toss 'Em! Do This Instead! Cooking Tips

Herbs are not only useful to add flavor to a variety of dishes, they also can be beneficial to your health! If you're making a recipe that calls for fresh herbs, make sure you don't toss out your leftovers. When I find myself with extra herbs, here's what I do:

  • chop up the leftovers 
  • place them in ice cube trays covered in olive oil
  • put them in the freezer

When I need them for cooking, I simply pop out as many as I need for the next dish I'm making. This saves time and money in the kitchen.
