We needed a quick meal for guests, and this fresh salmon recipe with dill was just perfect. This baked salmon recipe is so easy! All you need to do is whip up the sauce, marinate the fish for 15 minutes (if you have the time) and bake to make a light and tasty seafood dinner. The dill adds a freshness and the lime juice and soy sauce bring a lovely seasoning without overwhelming the fillet. Plus you get the health benefits of salmon and the health benefits of fresh dill.
To make this healthy seafood recipe, you will need to gather the following ingredients from your fridge and pantry: salmon, limes or oranges for juicing, olive oil, soy sauce or tamari, maple syrup, fresh or dried dill, garlic, ground turmeric and optional ground saffron.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds salmon fillet (skin on, center cut)
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice or orange juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh dill or 1 tablespoon dried dill
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/8 teaspoon ground saffron (optional)
Recipe Notes
- For a gluten-free dish, use tamari instead of soy sauce.
- You can use low-sodium soy sauce.

Here's how to make it:
- Put the salmon fillet on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet skin side down. Season the fish with salt and black pepper.
- Combine all the remaining ingredients in a bowl with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the top of the salmon. Turn the salmon over to face the skin up. Let sit for a few minutes or up to 30 minutes.
- When ready to cook, turn the filet back to the skin side down and place in a preheated 425-degree F oven for 15 minutes, or until the fish is to desired doneness.
- Serve over rice with lime or orange slices, if desired, and enjoy!
