The Best Baked Caesar Chicken Recipe (6 Ingredients, 30 Minutes) Chicken Recipes Dinner Gluten-free Budget Recipes Italian Recipes High Protein Recipes Shortcut Recipes Low Sugar Recipes
If you're looking for a quick, easy and tasty recipe to throw together on busy nights – or to make for dinner guests – do not click off this page! This Caesar baked chicken recipe has less than five minutes of prep and bakes up in the oven while you make the side dishes or enjoy a glass of wine.
To make this moist, juicy, tangy, cheesy Italian chicken recipe you only need six simple ingredients. Here is your short and sweet shopping list for this easy gluten-free and high-protein chicken dinner: boneless chicken breasts, Caesar salad dressing (salad dressing is a great shortcut in recipes), Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and dried Italian seasoning. The chicken is coated in all the ingredients then simply baked for about 25 to 30 minutes. The result is a juicy, moist and delicious chicken breast that almost cuts with a fork.
Cooking for two? I cut the recipe in half and baked it in a square baking dish for two servings. But next time I will not cut it in half because the leftovers make a mean chicken salad. Shred and add a little mayonnaise and whatever else you like in chicken salad.
Serve this Italian-inspired baked chicken for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with quinoa and a spring mix salad with Caesar salad dressing (of course!).
Cuisine: American / Italian
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 to 30 minutes
Total Time: 30 to 35 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup Caesar salad dressing
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
Here's how to make it:
- Drizzle a little cooking oil in a baking pan. Put the chicken breasts into the pan and season with salt and black pepper. (I used olive oil to grease the pan, but you could use whatever cooking oil you like. You could also use parchment paper or nonstick cooking spray. Instead of chicken breasts, you could use boneless chicken thighs. It will affect cooking time.)
- Combine the salad dressing, cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning in a mixing bowl. Season with black pepper, if desired. (You could use homemade Caesar salad dressing, but I used a bottle of Ken's Steak House Creamy Caesar Dressing. Use your favorite!)
- Rub the mixture all over the chicken breasts (both sides).
- If using parsley flakes for a little color, sprinkle it on.
- Bake the chicken in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until cooked through. (The chicken is cooked when it reaches 165 degrees F internal temperature.)
- Drizzle the chicken with some of the pan drippings when serving. Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container in the fridge.
