One-Pan Creamy Asian Beef Broccoli Recipe (15 Minutes, 7 Ingredients) High Protein Recipes Beef Budget Recipes Dinner Asian Recipes Low Sugar Recipes
Cans of cream of broccoli soup are now a staple in my pantry. Why? Because I love this quinoa broccoli casserole recipe and can't find the soup at my local grocery store. I stock up by buying it on Amazon so when the craving hits I can satisfy it without waiting. Looking for other ways to use this condensed soup, I stumbled upon this easy creamy beef broccoli recipe from my grandma's recipe box.
This Asian-inspired broccoli and beef recipe was quick and easy to make. The high-protein recipe was on the table in well under 20 minutes. (Take a look at the health benefits of protein.)
To make this creamy broccoli beef you just need a few simple ingredients: sirloin steak, vegetable oil, fresh broccoli, an onion, garlic powder, a can of cream of broccoli soup and soy sauce.
The condensed soup adds more broccoli flavor and a creaminess that's delicious over rice. I served mine for dinner over brown rice. Add a side of crispy eggrolls and you have a meal worth bragging about!
Cuisine: Asian / American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 small onion, cut into wedges
- garlic powder, to taste
- 10 ounces (1 can) cream of broccoli soup
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
Here's how to make it:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet. Add the beef strips and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Remove to a plate or bowl and set aside. (Instead of sirloin steak you could use round steak, flank steak or ribeye steak.)
- Add the broccoli and onion to the skillet. Season with a little salt and pepper. Cook until crisp-tender. (If you don't have fresh broccoli, you could use frozen broccoli. Be sure to thaw it before using.)
- Stir in the cream of broccoli soup, soy sauce and water. (If you don't have cream of broccoli soup, try cream of chicken, cream of mushroom or cream of celery.)
- Stir to combine.
- Add the beef back to the skillet.
- Stir to combine and add more salt and pepper, if needed. Serve. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
