Pizza night. Who doesn't look forward to that special night of the week? Instead of ordering pizza and waiting for the delivery person, why not make your own homemade pizza, starting with a homemade Italian pizza dough? This authentic pizza dough recipe is easy to make and will make all the difference in your pizza recipes.
You probably already have everything in your kitchen to make this Italian pizza dough for dinner: water (of course!), salt, honey, olive oil, active dry yeast, flour and butter for the bowl. After mixing the dough ingredients together, the dough ball rises for about 30 minutes before being separated into two. You now how two balls of homemade dough for two delicious homemade pizzas!

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- .25 ounces (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 3 cups flour
Here's how to make it:
- Stir together the cold water, salt, honey and olive oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
- In another bowl, stir together the yeast and warm water. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, then add the honey mixture.
- Add the flour, 1 cup at a time, until a dough forms. Put the dough onto a floured work surface. Knead until smooth. (Add more flour or water, if needed, to get a smooth dough.)
- Put the dough into a generously buttered bowl. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. (You could use olive oil to grease the bowl instead of butter.)
- Divide the dough into two equal pieces. Roll out and use for your favorite pizza recipes.
