Simple Salami Rolls Recipe: The 10-Minute Appetizer Everyone Was Talking About Appetizers Budget-friendly Snacks Entertaining

When making a charcuterie board for a family get-together, I decided I needed one more thing to complete it. Salami rolls won the spot and won the charcuterie board! They were the fan favorite at the party and were quickly disappearing while the fancy French ham, Spanish chorizo and gourmet cheeses sat quietly on the tray watching. The simple salami rolls are already on request for the next get-together, and more than one person asked for the recipe. The best thing? These salami roll appetizers took about 10 minutes to make.

All you need for these salami rolls is salami (I had it cut at the deli counter), cream cheese, green onions, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder. The filling is whipped together and then rolled up in salami slices. I had toothpicks out to secure the rolls with, but found they stayed together with no problem, so opted not to use them.

The Tuscan seasoning blend I used for the rollups had salt in it, so I only added fresh cracked black pepper (plus the salami is a little salty, too). You could also make this recipe with ham or other charcuterie meats instead of salami. Check out all the options at your grocery store's deli. Serve these cream cheese salami rollups as an appetizer, on a charcuterie board or as a quick snack.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 24

Ingredients

  • 24 slices salami
  • 1 box (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 3 green onions, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (I used S.A.L.T. Sisters Tuscan Farmhouse Blend)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put the cream cheese, green onions, dried Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder and black pepper, to taste, into a mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer.
  2. Beat until smooth.
  3. Spread some of the mixture (about 1 to 2 teaspoons) onto the bottom of the salami slices and roll up. Secure with a toothpick, if necessary. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
