Ingredients

• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
• 1 1/2 cups flour (all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour)
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1 cup chocolate chips

• The number of cookies depends on the size of the cookies you form.

• You could use milk chocolate, semi-sweet or dark chocolate chips.

• To make these cookies gluten-free, use gluten-free flour.

Here's how to make it: 

1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar together with an electric mixer until creamy. 
2. Add the flour and baking soda. Mix well. 
3. Add the oil and vanilla. Stir to combine.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Drop the dough by tablespoons onto parchment paper-lined baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 10 to 12 minutes. Allow to cool for a few moments before serving.
