Ingredients

• 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell, chilled
• 3 eggs
• 1 cup light brown sugar
• 1/4 cup butter, softened
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Here's how to make it:

1. In a medium bowl, with an electric mixer on low, beat the eggs slightly. Add the sugar, butter and vanilla. Beat until well blended. 
2. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans. (You can substitute 1 cup raisins and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts for the chocolate chips and pecans.) Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie shell.
3. Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 40 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean. Let cool completely before cutting. Store the pie in an airtight container in the fridge. Use the microwave to reheat it quickly, if desired.
