The Best Way to Grill Steaks: The Best Oil to Use for Grilling & How to Get Those Coveted Grill Marks Grilling Beef

When grilling delicious steaks at summer barbecues, grapeseed oil is my favorite choice. Grapeseed oil can withstand incredibly high temperatures of up to 475 degrees F. Grapeseed oil also has a very clean flavor, so it won't affect your seasoning or marinade.

If you want to get those beautiful and coveted hash marks on your steak, here's how to do it:

  • Season the steak generously with salt and pepper.
  • Crank the grill all the way up.
  • Depending upon the thickness, cook briefly in one direction, rotate 90 degrees, flip the steak over and repeat.

You should get a beautiful, delicious steak every time.
