- whipped cream or vanilla cake frosting
- fresh strawberries
- fresh blueberries
Here's how to make it:
- Buy a ready-made angel food cake or pound cake, or make a cake yourself using a box mix or this easy DIY yellow cake mix.
- Cover it in whipped cream or vanilla cake frosting.
- Slice strawberries and make "stripes" across the cake.
- Fill in the "stars" area of the flag with strategically-placed blueberries. Store the cake covered in the refrigerator.
